UB Press held an MPMP (Majelis Penjamin Mutu Penerbitan) at the Meeting Room UB Press, Tuesday (13/1). This annual event that is held regularly by UB Press aims to evaluate the performance of UB Press and discuss the work plans of UB Press in the future. The event was opened by the Chairman of UB Press, Dr. Jazim Hamidi, SH., MH., and was attended by three members of the MPMP including Drs. Nurkholis, M.Buss (Acc), Ak, Ph.D., Professor Dr Ir. Trinil Susilawati, MS., And Prof. Dr dr. Edi Widjajanto, MS., Sp.Pk (K).
Evaluations were discussed in the meeting include the issue of turnover and sales of books, incoming and published book recap, the work program in 2015, and about a review of the books. Emerging and evolving discussion of these issues is the discussion about UB Press building that has to be moved to some place new, increasing production and sales of books published by UB Press through a variety of ways, not only with conventional forms through a physical book, but also venturing into digital form as e-book which had been produced by UB Press earlier. Later, UB Press will work with the e-book developers to sell e-book. In addition, the meeting also discussed about the improvement of the system of the UB Press operational activities.
MPMP members also proposed the holding of a deeper analysis of the situation and the conditions being faced by UB Press today. From this meeting, the next meeting or hearing will be scheduled by the Rector to discuss efforts to promote UB Press in the future. Matter of policy or regulation is also one thing that should be the focus of attention and formulated by the parties authorized to organize all sorts of activities related to publishing in UB Press.UB Press menggelar acara Temu MPMP (Majelis Penjamin Mutu Penerbitan) di Ruang Rapat UB Press, Selasa (13/1). Acara tahunan yang diadakan secara reguler oleh UB Press ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja UB Press dan membahas rencana-rencana kerja UB Press di masa datang. Acara yang dipimpin oleh Ketua UB Press, Dr. Jazim Hamidi, SH., MH., ini dihadiri oleh tiga orang anggota MPMP antara lain Drs. Nurkholis, M.Buss (Acc), Ak, Ph.D., Prof. Dr. Ir. Trinil Susilawati, MS., dan Prof. Dr. dr. Edi Widjajanto, MS., Sp.Pk (K).

Evaluasi yang dibahas dalam pertemuan ini meliputi persoalan omset dan penjualan buku, rekap naskah yang masuk dan terbit, program kerja di tahun 2015, dan soal review naskah. Diskusi yang muncul dan berkembang dari pembahasan persoalan tersebut adalah mengenai gedung UB Press yang sudah harus dipindahkan ketempat yang baru, peningkatan produksi dan penjualan buku terbitan UB Press melalui berbagai cara, tidak hanya dengan bentuk konvensional melalui buku fisik saja tetapi juga merambah ke bentuk digital seperti e-book yang memang sudah diproduksi oleh UB Press sebelumnya. Nantinya, UB Press akan bekerjasama dengan pihak pengembang situs e-book untuk memasarkan produk e-book. Selain itu, dalam pertemuan ini juga dibahas tentang perbaikan sistem operasional UB Press.
Anggota MPMP juga mengusulkan diadakannya analisis lebih mendalam tentang situasi dan kondisi yang sedang dihadapi UB Press saat ini. Dari pertemuan ini, selanjutnya akan diagendakan pertemuan atau audiensi dengan Rektor UB untuk berdialog bersama-sama membahas usaha-usaha memajukan UB Press di masa depan. Soal policy atau peraturan juga menjadi salah satu fokus hal yang harus diperhatikan dan dirumuskan oleh pihak-pihak yang berwenang untuk mengatur segala macam kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan penerbitan di UB Press.
